Children's Ministry
Birth through 5th grade. A safe, joyful place to grow in faith.
About Children's Ministry
We believe kids belong in church. We have nursery care for babies and toddlers so parents can actually worship. We have Sunday School classes for elementary-age kids where they learn Bible stories, ask questions, and build friendships with people who know and care about them. We’re intentional about making faith feel natural and welcoming, not scary or confusing.
You’re not going to feel judged here. We have young families, grandparents raising grandkids, single parents, blended families, adoptive families. If your family looks different, that’s normal at Yates. We’re learning how to do family life alongside each other, in all its messy reality.
Programs
Sunday Morning
Age-graded classes meet during the 10:30 AM worship service. Children in preschool through 5th grade have their own worship time with music, Bible teaching, and hands-on activities.
Nursery
A staffed, secure nursery is available for infants and toddlers during Sunday School at 9:15 AM and worship at 10:30 AM. Check-in stations are located at the main entrance.
Passport Kids
PASSPORTkids is a four-day ecumenical camp for children who have completed 3rd–6th grade. Campers spend the week in Bible study, hands-on missions education, worship, and recreation.
