GUIDING PRINCIPLES
The committee system of Yates Baptist Church exists to support the mission of the church:
A growing community alive with Christ, energized to share God’s transforming love.
Committees are organized to involve members of the congregation in ministry, to ensure accountability, and to distribute leadership responsibilities broadly. Each committee represents a specific area of service through which members use their gifts to strengthen the life and witness of the church.
Committees operate within the authority granted by the church and are accountable to the church body. While committees function independently within their assigned scope, their actions are ultimately subject to church approval.
